Judith Nilan Award for Community Service to Youth

Northeast Communities Against Substance Abuse and your local substance abuse prevention council invite you to nominate a school Social Worker, Psychologist or Guidance Counselor you feel exemplifies outstanding leadership qualities and should be recognized for the time and talent they share with the youth of their community.

A special invitation only recognition ceremony will be held to honor volunteers from each of the 21 towns on:

April 27, 2010
The Harvest Restaurant in Pomfret
6:30 to 8:00 pm

CRITERIA FOR NOMINATION:

The nominee must:

Be a Social Worker, Psychologist or Guidance Counselor who works for a school or school system located within the 21 town region.
Live in the 21 town region
Shown dedication to students for a minimum of three years as part of their position
Promote substance abuse prevention and positive youth development
Possess personal qualities and commitment to youth which were exemplified by the late Judith Nilan
